Wisconsin vs. Army West Point Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Wisconsin vs. Army West Point football game
Game Recap
The Wisconsin Badgers didn't have too much breathing room in their game with the Army West Point Black Knights on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 20-14 victory.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the Wisconsin offense stepped up its game and put 13 points on the board in the second quarter. Army wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 13 to nothing heading into the break. The Badgers were outperformed in the second half 14-7 but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.
Wisconsin can attribute much of their success to RB Braelon Allen, who rushed for one TD and 107 yards on 16 carries. QB Graham Mertz didn't exactly stuff the stat sheet, but finished with two touchdowns.
Army West Point's loss came about despite a quality game from QB Tyhier Tyler, who rushed for one TD and 90 yards.
The win got Wisconsin back to even at 3-3. Army's overall record fell to 4-2.
Wisconsin will take on the Purdue Boilermakers at 3 p.m. ET next Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium. The Badgers will need a sterling offensive performance if they want to penetrate an unbending defense that has allowed an average of only 14 points per game. The Black Knights will be playing at home against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at noon ET next Saturday.
