Wisconsin vs. Wake Forest Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Wednesday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Wisconsin vs. Wake Forest football game
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons watched the action from their couches last weekend, but are set to take to the field. Bowl season is underway, and they and the Wisconsin Badgers will compete for postseason bragging rights in the Duke's Mayo Bowl at Bank of America Stadium at noon ET on Wednesday. Wisconsin will be strutting in after a win while the Demon Deacons will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Wake Forest has to be hurting after a devastating 45-21 loss at the hands of the Louisville Cardinals two weeks ago. A silver lining for Wake Forest was the play of WR Jaquarii Roberson, who caught nine passes for one TD and 138 yards.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Wisconsin ultimately got the result they were hoping for last week with a 20-17 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The score was all tied up at the break 7-7, but Wisconsin was the better team in the second half. Their RB Garrett Groshek looked sharp as he rushed for one TD and 154 yards on 24 carries. This was the first time Groshek has racked up 100+ rushing yards all year.
Wake Forest's loss took them down to 4-4 while Wisconsin's win pulled them up to 3-3. A win for the Demon Deacons would reverse both their bad luck and Wisconsin's good luck. We'll see if Wake Forest manages to pull off that tough task or if the Badgers keep their momentum going instead.
