Wyoming vs. Colorado State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Friday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Wyoming vs. Colorado State football game
After two games on the road, Wyoming is heading back home. They will take on the Colorado State Rams at 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Wyoming gave up the first points and the most points on Saturday. They suffered a grim 32-7 defeat to Boise State. Wyoming was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, the Cowboys weren't very productive on the ground and finished the game with only 27 rushing yards. They were dismantled by their opponents in that department as Boise State rushed for 227.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 13-13 at halftime, Colorado State was not quite Air Force's equal in the second half on Saturday. The game between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Colorado State falling 30-13. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Justus Ross-Simmons, who picked up 128 receiving yards and a touchdown. Ross-Simmons was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 61 yards.
Wyoming's loss was their fourth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 5-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's lackluster offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.0 points per game. As for Colorado State, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Not only did Colorado State and Wyoming lose their last games, but neither team managed to cover the spread. Going forward, Wyoming is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by seven points. This contest will be Colorado State's fourth straight as the underdogs (so far over this stretch they are 2-1 against the spread).
Wyoming won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, slipping by Colorado State 14-13. Will Wyoming repeat their success, or does Colorado State have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
