Preview
The Toledo Rockets and the Wyoming Cowboys will square off in the Arizona Bowl at Arizona Stadium 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Toledo is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
On December 2nd, Toledo came up short against Miami of Ohio and fell 23-14. Toledo gained 64 more yards on the day, but it was Miami of Ohio that made the best of use of them.
Despite the defeat, Toledo got a solid performance out of Dequan Finn, who threw for 273 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Meanwhile, Wyoming has more to be thankful for after their game against Nevada back in November. Wyoming put a hurting on Nevada on the road to the tune of 42-6. 42 seems to be a good number for Wyoming as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Andrew Peasley was a one-man wrecking crew for Wyoming as he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Wyett Ekeler got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Nevada to a paltry 201 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Wyoming's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out six times before it was all said and done. Nevada's QB won't forget Sabastian Harsh anytime soon given Harsh sacked him twice.
Toledo's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Wyoming, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Toledo is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. This contest will be their 13th straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 5-7 against the spread).
