Timberwolves' Isaiah Cousins: Leads team in assists Friday
Cousins posted 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six assists, four rebounds and three steals across 26 minutes during Friday's 83-71 summer league victory over the Nuggets.
Cousins made sure to get his teammates involved Friday's leading the Wolves in assists, not to mention a team-high three steals. This season marks the Oklahoma products third try at summer league, playing for the Kings his first year and the Pelicans his second year. Coming into Friday's tilt, he was averaging 8.8 points, 2.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steal across 20.5 minutes in four games.

Timberwolves' Isaiah Cousins: Headed to summer league with T'Wolves
Cousins will play with the Timberwolves' summer league team, Nicola Lupo of Sportando reports.
Cousins was selected by the Kings with the 59th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, but has been unable to crack a final roster since. Last season, he spent the bulk of his time with the Salt Lake City Stars of the G-League, where he averaged 13.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals across 26.5 minutes. He also played in a handful of games with Cholet Basket of the LNB Pro A league in France. He'll now head to summer league with Minnesota with the hope of impressing enough to earn a training camp invite.

Isaiah Cousins: Struggles, scores 19
Cousins totaled 19 points (6-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-8 FT), nine assists, four rebounds and three steals during Thursday's 101-96 win over Iowa.
The second-year player from Oklahoma fought his way to the 19-point mark Thursday while shooting just 37.5 percent from the floor. In accordance, the 6-4 guard has been struggling from the free-throw line as well this season, converting just 65.7 percent of his attempts. Cousins is averaging 12 points, 3.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game with the Stars.

Isaiah Cousins: Waived by Sacramento
Cousins was waived by the Kings on Monday.
Unsurprisingly, the Kings have opted to part ways with Cousins, their second-round pick (59th overall) out of Oklahoma. The guard appeared in only two exhibition contests, averaging 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in nearly 28 minutes per game. Cousins will now likely explore his options overseas or in the D-League.

Kings' Isaiah Cousins: Signs partially guaranteed deal with Kings
Cousins signed a one-year, partially guaranteed contract with the Kings on Tuesday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
The second-round pick out of Oklahoma will enter camp with a chance to make the final roster, but playing without a guaranteed contract could make it an uphill battle. While Cousins has intriguing length and defensive ability, he's likely destined for the D-League as a rookie even if he cracks the Kings' roster.
