Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Let go by San Francisco
The 49ers cut Vaughn from the practice squad Tuesday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The move makes room on the practice squad for running back Patrick Taylor, who was on the 49ers' active roster through the first eight games of the regular season. Vaughn signed with the 49ers' practice squad in late August after failing to make the 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp. The 2020 third-round pick will explore his options and look to sign with a team in need of depth in the backfield.

Buccaneers' Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Five touches on five snaps
Vaughn rushed four times for nine yards and brought in his only target for minus-1 yard in the Buccaneers' 39-37 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
The reserve back was in for only five plays from scrimmage, and he was busy on each one. Vaughn did next to nothing with the opportunity, however, and he's only reached double-digit rushing yards once this season. The 2020 third-round pick is averaging 1.8 yards per carry through six games and doesn't carry any fantasy value at the moment.

Buccaneers' Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Role reduced with Edmonds return
Vaughn rushed once for one yard across four snaps in the Buccaneers' 24-18 loss to the Bills on Thursday night.
Vaughn's minimal contribution was party a byproduct of his sparse snap count, but the fourth-year running back hadn't cleared 16 rushing yards in any of the prior three contests despite a double-digit tally of plays from scrimmage in each of those games. Vaughn could be a healthy scratch in Week 9 against the Texans if Chase Edmonds, who made his return from injured reserve Thursday and logged eight snaps, projects for an expanded workload.
