Texans' Kris Boyd: Past leg injury
Boyd (leg) was left off the Texans' injury report Wednesday ahead of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Colts.
Boyd was carted off with a leg injury during the Texans' preseason finale, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. The Texas product appeared in two regular-season games with Houston last season, primarily playing on special teams (34 of 37 total snaps), and he's expected to have a similar role in 2024.

Texans' Kris Boyd: Avoids serious injury
Boyd, who left Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, was diagnosed with a bruised leg, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Boyd didn't record a tackle before leaving Saturday's contest, and across four preseason outings, he registered eight tackles (seven solo) and three passes defended. Boyd is considered a strong special-teams contributor, which could help him make the Texans' 53-man roster.

Vikings' Kris Boyd: Competing for roster spot
Boyd (ribs) will be competing for a roster spot during training camp, Arif Hasan of The Athletic reports.
Boyd has been a solid special teams player for the Vikings since the team drafted him in the seventh round of 2019 Draft. He ended the 2021 campaign with an ankle injury, but he appears to be healthy this offseason. Nonetheless, he may have an uphill battle for roster spot to start the 2022 season.

Vikings' Kris Boyd: Out against Bears
Boyd (ribs) is inactive Week 18 against Chicago.
Boyd failed to see the practice field after being featured heavily against Green Bay last week, where he matched a season-best six tackles. As one of three cornerbacks not suiting up for the contest, Boyd's absence will certainly test the depth of the Minnesota secondary.

Vikings' Kris Boyd: Won't face Browns
Boyd (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Browns.
Boyd logged two limited practices during the week, but that won't be enough for him to take the field Sunday. He has primarily played in a special teams role for the Vikings through three weeks, so his absence should not have a significant effect on the secondary.
