Darrynton Evans: Let go by Buffalo
The Bills released Evans (hamstring) from IR on Tuesday.
Evans started the regular season on injured reserve after injuring his hamstring during the Bills' preseason finale against the Panthers in late August. His 21-day practice window to return from IR opened Oct. 9, but the Bills don't have room for Evans to join the active roster alongside fellow running backs James Cook, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson. Frank Gore is the lone running back on the Bills' practice squad, so while Evans could stick around in Buffalo, once he's healthy he'll have the option to explore his opportunities elsewhere and catch on with a team in need of depth at running back.

Bills' Darrynton Evans: Not in Week 8 mix
Evans (hamstring) wasn't activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Evans, whose 21-day practice window opened Oct. 9, will thus target a potential return to action in Week 9. In his continued absence, James Cook, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson are available to handle the Bills' running back duties versus Seattle.

Bills' Darrynton Evans: Doubtful for Week 8
Evans (hamstring) is listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Seahawks.
The Appalachian State product must still be activated to the Bills' active roster in order to suit up Sunday. Despite back-to-back weeks without practice limitations, Evans is expected to miss his eighth consecutive game due to a hamstring injury. However, if he is activated ahead of Sunday's contest, he'll likely serve as the team's fourth-string running back behind Ty Johnson, Ray Davis and James Cook.

Bills' Darrynton Evans: Remains on IR for Week 7
Evans (hamstring) was not activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans.
Evans will miss his seventh consecutive game to open the season after he was injured in late August. The Bills will continue to roll with James Cook, Ray Davis (calf) and Ty Johnson in the backfield for another week. Evans is unlikely to have a substantial role once he's activated. His 21-day practice window was opened 10 days ago.

Bills' Darrynton Evans: Doubtful for Sunday
Evans (hamstring) is listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Titans, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Evans has missed the Bills' first six games this season after sustaining a hamstring injury in late August. However, the Appalachian State product was designated to return from injured reserve on Oct. 9 and logged a week of full practice sessions, giving himself a small chance to play Sunday. Evans must still be activated to the Bills' active roster in order to suit up in Week 7, but if he's unable to play as expected, Buffalo's running back room will likely consist of James Cook, Ray Davis (calf) and Ty Johnson.

Bills' Darrynton Evans: Not activated for MNF
Evans (hamstring) will remain on injured reserve ahead of Monday's Week 6 game against the Jets.
Evans was placed on IR just before the beginning of the regular season and was designated to return this past Wednesday. He logged a trio of full practices during the week, but the Bills aren't activating him for Monday Night Football despite the fact that lead running back James Cook won't play due to a toe injury. Evans' next opportunity to make his season debut will come Sunday, Oct. 20 versus Tennessee.

Bills' Darrynton Evans: Could return Monday
Evans (hamstring) practiced in full Saturday but doesn't have a designation for Monday's game against the Jets.
Evans was designated to return from IR on Wednesday and has been a full participant in practice all week. However, he has yet to be added to the 53-man roster, leaving his status for MNF up in the air. His status for the matchup may ultimately hinge on James Cook's (toe) ability to play.

Bills' Darrynton Evans: Set to return to practice
Buffalo designated Evans (hamstring) for return to practice Wednesday, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
Evans spent the first five weeks of the season on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury he suffered during the Bills' last preseason game, but now that he's been cleared to practice again, he'll be eligible for activation ahead of Monday's game against the Jets. The Bills will have a 21-day window to evaluate Evans in practice, however, so the team could instead choose to bring him back in Week 7 or 8 if they're not confident that he'll be ready to go for Monday's contest.

Dolphins' Darrynton Evans: Elevated from practice squad
The Dolphins elevated Evans from their practice squad Saturday ahead of their Week 15 game versus the Jets.
Evans signed to Miami's practice squad Nov. 21 and was quickly elevated for the team's Week 12 loss to the Jets, carrying the ball twice for eight yards in that contest. He thereafter reverted to the practice squad but could now get a chance for game action Sunday in a rematch with the Jets.
