Commanders' De'Jon Harris: Cleared for Week 17
The Commanders activated Harris (quadriceps) from injured reserve Thursday.
Harris' practice window opened Wednesday, and he's now been cleared to suit up for Sunday's matchup against the 49ers. From Week 6 to Week 11 this season, Harris operated as a key special-teams contributor, but he has yet to handle a defensive snap across six appearances. Washington placed running back Chris Rodriguez (ankle) on IR in a corresponding transaction, ending his season.

Commanders' De'Jon Harris: Placed on IR
The Commanders placed Harris (quadriceps) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Harris was signed to the active roster Oct. 10 after beginning the campaign on the practice squad, and he saw work in all six of Washington's games from Week 6 to Week 11. All of his snaps came on special teams, and that has been his role for most of his career -- he's played in 18 NFL contests across four campaigns but has logged just 14 defensive snaps over that span. As a result of landing on injured reserve, Harris won't be eligible to see game action again until Dec. 31 versus San Francisco.

Washington signed Harris to their active roster from the practice squad Tuesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Harris was unable to make the team's 53-man roster out of training camp, but he was able to stick around on their practice squad. With the Commanders dealing with multiple injuries on their defense, the Arkansas product will help bolster the team's depth on that side of the ball.

The Commanders placed Harris (undisclosed) on injured reserve Wednesday.
After shifting to Washington's injured reserve Wednesday due to an unspecified issue, Harris' 2022-23 season has officially come to an end given that the team was eliminated from playoff contention following last weekend's loss to Cleveland. The 25-year-old saw game action on four separate occasions throughout this past campaign strictly as a special-teams contributor.
