  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Only used on special teams

Hunter recorded 22 snaps on special teams over five games during the 2025 regular season.

A fourth-round pick out of Auburn, Hunter's progress was stalled by the emergence of Blake Corum as the complement to veteran Kyren Williams in the Rams' backfield. The duo combined for a 404-1,998-16 rushing line over the 2025 campaign, leaving little room for Hunter or Ronnie Rivers to produce. Corum and Williams are signed through 2028 and 2029 respectively, meaning Hunter is unlikely to see much improvement in his situation in 2026, even with Rivers possibly leaving as an unrestricted free agent.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Healthy scratch again Week 15

Hunter (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's battle against the Lions, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Hunter hasn't played since Week 6, as he's firmly behind all of Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and Ronnie Rivers in Los Angeles' RB pecking order. In the five games Hunter has participated in this season, he's played exclusively on special teams.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Unavailable for Week 14

Hunter (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with Arizona, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Hunter will once again be a healthy scratch in Week 14, marking the seventh consecutive contest in which that is the case. Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and Ronnie Rivers will handle the backfield duties against the Cardinals.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Inactive Week 12

Hunter (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's game against Tampa Bay.

Hunter has logged just 22 special-teams snaps across five rookie-season appearances. He's firmly behind Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and Ronnie Rivers on the backfield depth chart.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Won't play Week 11

Hunter (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Hunter will be sidelined for a fourth consecutive game as the Rams go with three active running backs in Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and Ronnie Rivers. Hunter's next opportunity to play is Week 12 against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Nov. 23.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Healthy scratch Week 10

Hunter (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Week 10 will be third game in a row that Hunter is a healthy scratch, with Ronnie Rivers serving as the Rams' RB3 behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum. Hunter's next opportunity to play is Week 11 against the Seahawks on Sunday, Nov. 16.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Won't play against New Orleans

Hunter (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Hunter will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game as the Rams roll with a three-man backfield in Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and practice squad running back Ronnie Rivers. Hunter's next opportunity to play is Week 10 against the 49ers on Sunday, Nov. 9.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Healthy inactive for London game

Hunter (coach's decision) is a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London.

After being inactive for the Rams' season-opening win over the Texans, Hunter had suited up for each of Los Angeles' subsequent five games, but the rookie running back had been used exclusively on special teams. At least for one week, Hunter appears to have lost out on that meager role, as practice-squad call-up Ronnie Rivers will be active as depth behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum in addition to taking on Hunter's responsibilities on special teams.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Makes debut on special teams

Hunter logged six snaps on special teams during Sunday's 33-19 win against the Titans.

Hunter made his regular-season debut Sunday after being a healthy scratch in Week 1, but he never got an opportunity to take the field on offense. Kyren Williams (17-66-0) and Blake Corum (5-44-1) handled the entire rushing load for the Rams, and given head coach Sean McVay's proclivity to feed Williams the vast majority of touches at running back over the past few seasons, Hunter will likely find it hard to make an impact this year barring an injury ahead of him on the depth chart.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Not playing vs. Houston

Hunter (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Hunter is a healthy scratch Sunday, and the rookie fourth-rounder's next opportunity to make his NFL regular-season debut is Week 2 against the Titans on Sunday, Sept. 14. Cody Schrader and Blake Corum will serve as the Rams' backup running backs behind Kyren Williams.

  • Rams' Jarquez Hunter: Little running room Saturday

Hunter carried the ball seven times for 14 yards in Saturday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Browns.

The 2025 fourth-round pick got the start due to both Kyren Williams and Blake Corum being held out of the Rams' exhibition finale, and Hunter worked the team's first three drives before handing the backfield over to Cody Schrader. Hunter's role as the No. 3 RB seems secure, but the rookie is unlikely to see a lot of action in the regular season barring injuries ahead of him -- Corum, a third-round pick last year, saw only 65 touches over 17 games in his first NFL campaign.
