Dazz Newsome: Cut by San Francisco
The 49ers waived Newsome on Tuesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
The 24-year-old was let go in order to make room for fellow WR Anthony Miller on the 90-man roster. A 2021 sixth-round pick by the Bears, Newsome hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since his rookie year when he caught two passes for 23 yards. He made one catch for nine yards across 21 preseason snaps this summer.

49ers' Dazz Newsome: Inks future deal
The 49ers signed Newsome to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Newsome signed with the 49ers' practice squad in mid-November and spent the remainder of the campaign there. The North Carolina product was selected by the Bears in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and made three appearances for Chicago during his rookie season. He spent time with Kansas City before latching on with San Francisco and will get to stick around the 49ers' organization during the offseason.

Newsome was cut from the Chiefs' practice squad Nov. 3 after being waived by the Bears, who drafted the wideout in the sixth round of the 2021 Draft. The second-year wideout caught two passes over three games during his rookie campaign but has yet to appear in a contest during the 2022 season.

Newsome secured a spot with Kansas City's practice squad Monday after being waived by the Bears late in August, but he was let go to help make room for safety Ugo Amadi. The second-year wideout caught just two passes over three games during his rookie campaign with Chicago, and he will now look for a new squad where he can carve out a role this season.

Dazz Newsome: Heading to Kansas City
The Chiefs signed Newsome to the practice squad Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Newsome will finally find a new home after being waived by the Bears in late August. The 2021 sixth-round pick caught two of his five targets for 23 yards over Chicago's final three games last season, and he compiled 75 punt-return yards over this span. Newsome's value as a speedster and return specialist may not be enough to crack Kansas City's deep corps of wide receivers this season, barring any serious injuries to this group.

Newsom was waived by the Bears on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Newsome could be set for a fresh start elsewhere if he gets claimed off waivers, otherwise he may return to the Bears' practice squad where he spent the majority of the 2021 campaign. The wide receiver caught two passes for 23 yards while appearing in three games with Chicago last season. Newsome possesses top-level speed and could operate as a return specialist if he heads to a new squad.

Bears' Dazz Newsome: Targeted twice
Newsome recorded a 14-yard reception in the Bears' 27-11 preseason win over the Seahawks' on Thursday.
Newsome was on the field as soon as the second drive, which was after the Bears' starters were removed from the contest. He played well into the third quarter, but with the Chicago passing attack having limited success, there wasn't much production to go around. Newsome also returned a pair of punts that netted just eight yards. He's competing for a depth role, as it may be an uphill battle for him to move into the top three on the depth chart.

Bears' Dazz Newsome: Finds end zone
Newsome caught a 13-yard touchdown pass and had one carry for 13 yards in the Bears' 19-14 win over the Chiefs on Saturday.
Newsome scored in the second half when the Bears were playing their reserves. He'll be continuing to battle for a depth role in Chicago's wide receiver group over the next two preseason games.
