Seattle waived Wedington on Monday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Wedington landed on the Seahawks' practice squad in early January and inked a reserve/future deal after the conclusion of the team's season. However, he again finds himself as a free agent after Seattle made numerous cuts ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Seahawks' Connor Wedington: Sticking with Seattle
Seattle signed Wedington to a reserve/future deal Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Wedington joined the Seahawks' practice squad in January after he failed to stick around Houston's and San Francisco's organizations. The undrafted product out of Stanford is still looking to make his NFL debut, but with his new deal, he'll have a chance to compete for a spot on the active roster throughout the offseason.

Wedington was let go from the 49ers' practice squad in mid-September and he has remained a free agent since. The wide receiver will now get a chance to prove himself with Seattle's practice unit, but he's a long-shot to stick around into next season.

Wedington will head to San Francisco after he was waived as part of the Texans' final roster cuts Aug. 30. The 2020 undrafted, who has yet to record a catch during his NFL career, should now have a chance to work his way onto an active roster at some point this regular season.
