Bengals' Cade York: Gets spot on roster
The Bengals signed York off their practice squad Tuesday.
York will get a full-time spot on the Bengals' 53-man roster after he had previously been elevated from the practice squad twice to handle kicking duties while Evan McPherson (groin) was on injured reserve. McPherson is eligible to return in Week 18, but the Bengals are likely to be eliminated from playoff contention before then and have no need to rush him back into action for the regular-season finale. Over his first two games as a replacement for McPherson, York has knocked down seven of his eight extra-point tries and has nailed field-goal attempts of 21, 29 and 37 yards.

Bengals' Cade York: Reverts to practice squad
York reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Monday.
York made his only field-goal attempt and went 4-for-5 on extra-point tries while filling in for Evan McPherson (groin), who is on injured reserve. York will likely continue to serve as the team's kicker in Week 16, as McPherson will remain sidelined for at least two more weeks.

Bengals' Cade York: Set to kick for CIN in Week 15
The Bengals elevated York from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday.
Evan McPherson (groin) is slated to miss at least three more games while on IR, so York should be able to hold down the team's placekicker role as long as he performs well. Last Monday against Dallas, York made both of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries in a dramatic victory. The Bengals' Week 15 opponent -- Tennessee -- has allowed 21 successful field goals through 13 games on the campaign.

Cade York: Returns to practice squad
York reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Tuesday.
The kicker was elevated to the active roster ahead of Monday's 27-20 win over the Cowboys with Evan McPherson sidelined due to a groin injury. York made the most of his opportunity, converting on field-goal attempts from 37 and 29 yards while nailing all three of his extra-point attempts. With McPherson stuck on injured reserve through at least Week 17, York will likely be elevated from the practice squad again to handle kicking duties Sunday against the Titans.

Cade York: Signs with Cincinnati
The Bengals signed York to their practice squad Wednesday.
With Evan McPherson (groin) placed on injured reserve Wednesday, York is expected to be elevated to the 53-man roster ahead of Monday's game against the Cowboys. Backed by an offense that scores plenty of points, York will be on the radar in fantasy leagues that roster kickers. York previously kicked in one game for the Commanders earlier this season, knocking down both of his extra-point tries while missing field-goal attempts from 47 and 56 yards before being cut.

Cade York: Let go by Washington
The Commanders waived York from the active roster Monday.
York missed both of his field-goal attempts during Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Buccaneers. Though he converted both of his extra-point tries, a rough Week 1 showing was enough for York to lose his grip on the starting kicker gig for Washington. His misses came from 47 and 56 yards out. Now, York will have to search for an opportunity to compete elsewhere in the league.

Commanders' Cade York: Inaccurate from deep
York made two extra-point tries but missed both of his field goal attempts in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Buccaneers.
It was a rough start for York in Washington, who was acquired via trade from Cleveland during training camp. However, they weren't chip shots for the LSU product, with his misses coming from 47 and 56 yards out. He'll have a chance to get on track in Week 2 against the Giants.

Commanders' Cade York: Traded to Washington
The Commanders acquired York from the Browns on Thursday in exchange for a conditional 2025 seventh-round pick, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Washington then waived Riley Patterson, leaving York as the only kicker on their roster. Meanwhile, Dustin Hopkins (undisclosed) is left as the lone kicker for Cleveland, suggesting the team isn't worried that his recent minor injury will affect his Week 1 availability. The Browns took York in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he was waived the following preseason after missing eight field-goal attempts during his rookie season. He then spent time with the Giants and Titans before landing back in Cleveland this spring.
