Joseph Ngata: Let loose by Philadelphia
The Eagles cut Ngata from their practice squad Tuesday.
Ngata signed with Philadelphia's practice squad last Friday, but he didn't stick around long. The 24-year-old Clemson product has yet to see action in an NFL game after initially signing with Philly as an undrafted free agent in May of 2023. In a related move Tuesday, the Eagles signed wideout Elijah Cooks to their practice squad.

Joseph Ngata: Joins Eagles' practice squad
The Eagles signed Ngata to their practice squad Friday.
Ngata was waived from the Eagles' injured reserve list in early September with an injury settlement, but he's since tried out with other teams, suggesting he's moved past his ankle issue. The 24-year-old wideout from Clemson has yet to appear in an NFL game after going undrafted in 2023. He recorded 526 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 41 receptions during his final collegiate season.

The wide receiver was waived from the Eagles' injured reserve with an injury settlement Sept. 5. Ngata caught five passes for 88 yards for Philadelphia during the preseason. He has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game.

Ngata (ankle) was waived from the Eagles' injured reserve Thursday with an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ngata was set to miss the entire 2024 season after reverting to the Eagles' IR on Aug. 28. The injury settlement allows the 23-year-old wide receiver to sign with another team once he is fully recovered from his ankle injury.

Ngata (ankle) reverted to injured reserve Wednesday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.
The wide receiver will have to reach an injury settlement with the Eagles to play in 2024. Ngata caught five passes for 88 yards during the preseason. He played his last college season in 2022 and has not yet seen NFL regular-season action.
