Seahawks' George Holani: Six touches in return
Holani rushed three times for four yards and caught three of four targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 31-27 win over the Rams in the NFC Championship Game.
Holani's return from a hamstring injury he suffered Week 12 came just in time, as Zach Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL in the team's divisional-round win over the 49ers. Thus, Holani served as the No. 2 running back behind Kenneth Walker and handled a 34 percent snap share. The second-year running back out of Boise State previously handled kick-return duties, too, but the Seahawks traded for Rashid Shaheed, who has that job locked down heading into the Super Bowl versus the Patriots.

Seahawks' George Holani: Back from IR
Holani (hamstring) has been activated off IR by the Seahawks in advance of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Rams, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Holani, who was placed on IR on Nov. 29 due to a hamstring injury, logged back-to-back full practices Wednesday and Thursday before being activated by Seattle on Friday. His looming return to the mix gives the team some needed depth at running back behind starter Kenneth Walker in the wake of Zach Charbonnet having suffered a season-ending knee injury during the divisional round. In 11 regular-season contests, Holani recorded 22 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown and two catches for 15 yards while also playing a key role on special teams.

Seahawks' George Holani: Designated to return from IR
The Seahawks designated Holani (hamstring) to return to practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reported that Holani said he was healthy when the four weeks of mandatory injured reserve time was up, and the running back has just been waiting for a chance to get back to work. The 26-year-old last played in the Week 12 win over the Titans, recording five special teams snaps. If Holani is activated in time for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Rams, he will be the No. 2 running back behind Kenneth Walker due to the injury to former No. 2 rusher Zach Charbonnet.

Seahawks' George Holani: Able to practice fully Wednesday
Holani (hamstring) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Holani has spent Seattle's last seven games on its injured reserve list after hurting his hamstring in Week 12 at Tennessee, but it now seems like he could be on track to suit up for the NFC Championship. With 2023 second-rounder Zach Charbonnet (knee) already ruled out, Holani's status is worth keeping an eye on as Sunday's contest versus the Rams approaches.

Seahawks' George Holani: Could return from IR
Head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters Monday that Holani (hamstring) could be activated from injured reserve ahead of this Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Rams, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Zach Charbonnet is believed to have torn his ACL during the Seahawks' 41-6 win over the 49ers during Saturday's divisional-round game. With Holani on IR, that leaves Kenneth Walker as the lone healthy running back on Seattle's active roster, and Velus Jones and Cam Akers are options to be elevated from the practice squad. Holani mostly contributed on special teams prior to landing on IR in late November due to a hamstring injury, and in the 11 regular-season games before his injury, he turned 22 carries into 73 yards and one touchdown while adding two catches (on as many targets) for 15 yards. If activated from IR, Holani would in be in line to slot in as the Seahawks' RB2 behind Walker.

Seahawks' George Holani: Lands on IR
The Seahawks placed Holani (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Holani was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings due to a hamstring injury he sustained against the Titans in Week 12. The injury is severe enough for him to warrant a stint on injured reserve, which means Holani will be required to miss at least the next four games, making him eligible to make his return in Week 17 against the Panthers on Saturday, Dec. 27. Rashid Shaheed and Cody White will handle return duties on kickoffs in Holani's absence, and Cam Akers and Myles Gaskin will provide backfield depth behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.

Seahawks' George Holani: Ruled out for Week 13
Holani (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Holani didn't practice this week and is a candidate for injured reserve after he was hurt against Tennessee last Sunday. Rashid Shaheed and Cody White will likely continue to handle kickoff-return duties for the Seahawks.

Seahawks' George Holani: Candidate for injured reserve
Head coach Mike Macdonald said Monday that Holani (hamstring) could be placed on injured reserve, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Holani was forced to leave during the first half of Sunday's game against the Titans due to a hamstring injury, which prevented him from returning. The injury appears to be severe enough to warrant an extended absence, and he could be placed on injured reserve ahead of the Seahawks' Week 13 clash against the Vikings. With Kenny McIntosh (knee, IR) done for the year, Seattle may call up Velus Jones from the practice squad to serve as the RB3 behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet moving forward.

Seahawks' George Holani: Won't return with hamstring injury
Holani (hamstring) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Titans, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Holani sustained the injury in the first half, which has been deemed too severe by medical staff for him to return to Sunday's game. Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet will be the two Seahawks running backs the rest of the way, and with Holani out and Dareke Young (quadriceps) on injured reserve, wide receivers Cody White and Rashid Shaheed should handle return duties on kickoffs.

Seahawks' George Holani: Scores in blowout win
Holani rushed seven times for 31 yards and a touchdown in the 44-22 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
Holani typically stays out of the offensive rotation, as he has played more than three offensive snaps just one other time this year, but the blowout nature of this game meant he handled 11 snaps, scoring his first regular-season touchdown in the process. The 25-year-old running back should revert to a special-teams role in Week 11 versus the Rams.

Seahawks' George Holani: Rushes three times in win
Holani rushed three times for nine yards in Sunday's 38-14 win over the Commanders. He also returned two kicks for 29 yards.
Holani carried the ball for the first time since Week 3, as the Seahawks got out to a convincing lead early. Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet will continue to handle a bulk of the workload as long as they're healthy, while Holani should mostly stick to special teams in typical game scripts.

Seahawks' George Holani: Sticks to special teams
Holani returned three kicks for 74 yards in Thursday's 23-20 win over the Cardinals.
Holani didn't play at all on offense with both Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet in the lineup. Unless one of the two top running backs gets hurt, Holani's usage should remain strictly on special teams moving forward.
