Mets first baseman Lucas Duda is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.
Duda was hit by a pitch in the left knee in Sunday's loss to the Marlins. Duda's knee was feeling sore on Monday, which is why he's getting the night off. With Duda out, Michael Cuddyer will play first base and bat fourth.
"I just kind of got hit in a funny spot," Duda said, per MLB.com. "I'll take [Monday] and play [Tuesday]."
With Cuddyer at first, Darrell Ceciliani draws a start in left field. After getting a day off on Sunday, catcher Kevin Plawecki returns to the lineup and will hit eighth.
