The Blue Jays released Sanchez on Tuesday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Sanchez signed a minor-league deal with Toronto in May, but he'll now return to the open market after posting a 7.92 ERA and 1.69 WHIP through 61.1 innings (14 starts) at Triple-A Buffalo. The 32-year-old righty hasn't pitched in the majors since 2022, and his recent performance in the minors suggests that he isn't close to a return.
