The Angels released Kolarek on Tuesday.
After making five appearances at the big-league level between the Dodgers and Mets in 2023, Kolarek caught on with the Angels on a minor-league deal over the winter. He didn't receive a call to the big leagues during his time with the organization this season before being cut loose. Over his 31 appearances out of the bullpen at Triple-A Salt Lake in 2024, the 35-year-old lefty logged a 6.97 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 33:18 K:BB over 31 innings.
