Rays pitcher Alex Cobb has been able to play catch the past two days, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Cobb is working his way back from an oblique injury, which is expected to keep him out of action for six-to-eight weeks. While he's still far away from significant action, the fact that he's been able to do some throwing without any issues is a step in the right direction.

Cobb posted a 1.89 ERA over three starts before the injury.
