Heaney (shoulder) will have his scheduled Friday start skipped, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Heaney exited his Sep. 9 start with shoulder soreness and an MRI taken on Monday revealed a minor impingement in his shoulder. The Angels will play it safe with the 26-year-old and go with a bullpen game for Friday's tilt against the Rangers. He'll look to hopefully rejoin the rotation sometime next week if all goes according to plan.
