Moniak suffered a hand contusion in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Astros, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Moniak was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning, and he was ultimately removed from the contest as a result. The initial tests following the game showed a contusion, but he will undergo additional examinations. The outfielder finished his day 0-for-3 with two strikeouts, and he can be considered day-to-day for the time being ahead of Monday's series opener with the White Sox.
