Bridwell gave up seven runs on six hits while walking three and striking out two over three innings Wednesday. He did not factor into the decision in a comeback win over the Athletics.

Bridwell cruised through the first three frames before imploding for seven runs in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old has pitched relatively well this season (3.52 ERA), but his lack of strikeout stuff (5.6 K/9) and inability to keep the ball in yard (1.4 HR/9) leave the rookie hurler prone to the occasional rough outing. Bridwell will get a chance to redeem himself against the Athletics next Tuesday.
