Nolasco gave up five runs on six hits (including three homers) while striking out four over six innings in a no-decision against the A's on Thursday.
While Nolasco didn't walk a batter, he was still rather lucky to escape with just the five earned runs allowed -- all three homers he served up were solo shots. The 33-year-old tossed eight innings of one-run ball in his final start for Minnesota on July 29, but he's mostly struggled since April, and Nolasco lines up to face the Cubs (in Chicago) next week. That's probably one to avoid.
