The Angels selected Peralta's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.
Peralta signed a minor-league contract with the Angels in late June and will now work out the team's bullpen after Shaun Anderson (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list. Peralta's numbers across 15 games with Salt Lake haven't been great, as he has a 9.37 ERA and 2.05 WHIP over 16.1 innings.
