Astros pitcher Anthony Bass is expected to be activated from the disabled list in time for the team's upcoming road trip, which begins Thursday against the Angels, MLB.com reports.

"He had a good outing, and right now we feel like he's probably very close," general manager Jeff Luhnow said. "He's going to be down for a few days after pitching [Sunday] night. We'll probably make a decision either later today or [Tuesday] about exactly what to do with Bass, but we're encouraged by what we saw yesterday."

Bass has been on the disabled list recovering from an intercostal strain since May 11. He owns a 4.50 ERA and 4:5 K:BB ratio in 18 innings.
