Gamel (knee) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
After exiting Saturday's 5-3 win in the sixth inning with a left knee contusion, Gamel will get at least one day off to rest the injury. Jason Heyward will take Gamel's spot in the outfield, manning left field while batting seventh in the series finale in Anaheim.
