Morton (latissimus) has been playing catch since last Friday and is close to testing himself on a mound, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The Astros could use a little good news as it relates to their rotation. Morton, who is in the third week of rehabilitation, is one of four starters currently on the disabled list.
