Stubbs was recalled by the Astros on Wednesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Stubbs spent a week with Triple-A Sugar Land, but he'll rejoin the Astros after Martin Maldonado was placed on the bereavement list Wednesday. Jason Castro is starting at catcher and batting ninth in Wednesday's series finale against Baltimore, and he'll likely serve as the primary backstop in Maldonado's absence.
