Altuve is not in the Astros' lineup Monday against the Twins, Julia Morales of ROOT Sports reports.
After notching a pair of singles and an RBI on Sunday, Altuve will be given a rare day off Monday as the Astros go with Marwin Gonzalez at second base. Expect Altuve, who's played in 202 straight games, to be back in action Tuesday for Game 2 of the four-game set, and it's possible he could be used off the bench Monday.
