The Astros recalled VanWey from Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
With Enyel De Los Santos (knee) ticketed for the injured list, the Astros will call up VanWey to bolster their bullpen depth. The 27-year-old righty has given up just one run in six MLB innings this season but carries a 5.12 ERA over 51 Triple-A frames and will likely be limited to low-leverage duty.
