Arrighetti (4-10) allowed a run on five hits and two walks over six innings Sunday, striking out 12 and taking a loss against the Rays.
Arrighetti gave up a run in the third inning, and it ended up as the only run either team would score. He fired 67 of 100 pitches for strikes and forced a career-high 20 whiffs. He's 0-4 over his last six starts despite producing three quality starts during that span. Arrighetti's last win was June 26 against the Rockies. For the season, the right-handed rookie owns a 5.33 ERA with a 116:49 K:BB through 98 innings. Arrighetti's next start is currently lined up to be in Boston.
