Alvarez went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Red Sox.
Alvarez was perfect at the plate and went deep for the fifth time in as many games. He has hit safely in eight of nine August contests, tallying multiple hits six times with eight RBI and eight runs scored. On the year, the 27-year-old is hitting .307 with 25 homers, 63 RBI and 68 runs scored across 483 plate appearances.
