The Athletics activated Wilson (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Reds.

The 22-year-old suffered the hamstring strain during his major-league debut July 19, but he's ready to rejoin Oakland after gong 9-for-23 during a seven-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas. Wilson is the organization's top prospect and should take over as the primary shortstop for the stretch run. He's split his time in the minors this season between Las Vegas and Double-A Midland, and he's hit .423 with seven homers, two steals, 36 RBI and 44 runs in 48 games between the two affiliates.
