Sears (11-12) took the loss against the Yankees on Saturday, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings while striking out six.

Sears got beat up out of the gate, allowing three consecutive batters to reach in the opening frame, which led to two runs coming across for the Yankees. He then started off the second by surrendering a leadoff homer to Anthony Volpe and was later tagged for a three-run shot in the third. It marked the second straight outing in which Sears has given up multiple home runs, and he's now allowed four or more runs in three of his last four starts. On a positive note, he did manage to get through five innings Saturday for the fifth straight outing.
