Schuemann went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Astros.

Schuemann has posted just four multi-hit efforts since the start of August, batting a meager .162 (17-for-105) in that span. While the rookie hasn't played particularly well of late, Wednesday's performance was an exception -- he avoided striking out for the first time in eight games. Schuemann is now at a .224/.315/.315 slash line with 14 steals, seven home runs, 34 RBI, 52 runs scored and 12 doubles over 121 contests. The A's don't exactly have a ton of exciting alternatives, so Schuemann is likely to continue seeing steady playing time at third base down the stretch.
