Dunshee is part of the 60-man player pool that will report to the Athletics' summer camp, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Dunshee mostly cruised through his first two-plus seasons in the minors before hitting Triple-A Las Vegas in the latter portion of 2019, a stint in which he scuffled to a 5.38 ERA across 20 appearances (19 starts). While the league's hitter-friendly conditions undoubtedly played a part in his struggles, Dunshee also took his lumps across three Cactus League appearances (12.27 ERA) before spring training was suspended. The right-hander seems much more likely to be part of a pool of up to 30 players that will train at an alternate location once the regular season begins than to make the Opening Day roster.
