The Athletics recalled Selman from Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Though Oakland shipped No. 5 starter Jared Koenig back to Triple-A in a corresponding move, Selman will join the Athletics' bullpen in the short term while the big club ponders a replacement in the rotation for Koenig. Selman has made six appearances for Oakland this season, covering seven innings while giving up four earned runs on six hits and two walks.
