Gray (3-3) allowed seven runs on 11 hits over seven innings in Tuesday's loss to the Mariners, striking out six with just one walk.

This was Gray's second consecutive subpar outing after he allowed four runs in just two innings pitched his last time out. He's still walking over four batters per nine innings despite improvement in that category this time around, and now batters are also starting to pile up hits against the 26-year-old. Gray's ability to pitch deep into games has earned him six decisions in six starts, but he's going to have to be more effective in those extensive innings if he wants to climb back above .500 Monday in Boston.
