Tigers starter Buck Farmer did not do much to cultivate a big lead Monday night in Cincinnati. The result was a no-decision that could have been a win had he continued a strong effort.

Farmer let some of a 5-0 lead slip away in the sixth and a porous bullpen did the rest as the Reds scored 10 runs in the inning He finished having allowed three runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings with three walks and three strikeouts.

The southpaw pitched no-hit ball into the fifth, but home runs by former Tigers shortstop Eugenio Suarez and Brandon Phillips knocked him out of the game in the sixth.
