Kirk is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

With the Blue Jays and Phillies concluding their series Wednesday with a game that begins at 4:05 p.m. ET, Kirk will receive a breather for getaway day after he caught all eight innings of Tuesday's 8-4 loss. Danny Jansen will step in behind the plate, catching for starting pitcher Kevin Gausman.
