Nimmala has gone 11-for-39 over his last nine games for Single-A Dunedin with five home runs and 13 RBI.
He doesn't turn 19 until October, but Nimmala is beginning to develop the power the Jays were hoping for when they selected him 20th overall in the 2023 Draft. The shortstop had a rough start to his first year of full-season ball, but since returning from a stint in the FCL to get his confidence back, Nimmala is slashing .257/.341/.629 in 28 games for Dunedin with six doubles, three triples and nine homers, albeit with a 31.7 percent strikeout rate.
