Clement is out of the lineup for Friday's game versus the Cubs in part due to lingering left hip soreness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
It something Clement has been playing with for a bit, and the Blue Jays finally found what they feel is an opportune time to rest the infielder amidst a 16-day stretch with no off days for the club. Clement should be considered day-to-day. Davis Schneider is handling second base Friday.
