The Blue Jays and pitcher Esmil Rogers have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year deal worth $1.85 million.
It's Rogers' first year of arbitration eligibility. He went 5-9 with a 4.77 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 96:44 K:BB ratio in 137 2/3 innings last season.
