It was Brad Boxberger's turn to close out a game Wednesday at N.Y. Yankees as part of the Rays' closer-by-committee approach. The right-handed reliever picked up his first save this season and second career save during a 6-3 win.

Boxberger retired the side in order in the ninth inning, which included strikeouts of Brett Gardner and Derek Jeter. He now has 48 strikeouts in 31 1/3 innings and lowered his ERA to 2.87.
