Atlanta acquired Biggio in a minor-league trade with the Giants on Saturday in exchange for cash considerations, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The trade sends Biggio to his fourth team this season, as he previously spent time with the Blue Jays, Dodgers and Giants. Biggio signed a minor-league contract with San Francisco on Aug. 23, and he slashed .163/.413/.326 with two home runs and six RBI across 63 plate appearances with Triple-A Sacramento. Biggio could see some playing time at second base if Whit Merrifield goes on the injured list after being diagnosed with a foot fracture, but the former would not be eligible to play in the postseason if Atlanta were to make it there, per Lindsay Crosby of AthlonSports.com.
