Santana was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
The right-hander was demoted to Gwinnett on Sunday but will quickly rejoin Atlanta with Josh Tomlin (neck) heading to the injured list. Santana has a 3.82 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 31:9 K:BB over 37.2 major-league innings this season.
