White was recalled Friday from Triple-A Gwinnett.
He'll replace Michael Harris, who is headed to the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain. White can help cover all three outfield spots for Atlanta, but he holds a weak .185/.260/.296 career batting line in 389 plate appearances at the major-league level. Sam Hilliard is in center field Friday versus the Padres.
