Ramirez signed a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Friday, Lindsay Crosby of AthlonSports.com reports.
After being released by the Nationals on Aug. 14, Ramirez will now attempt to carve out a role for himself with Atlanta. The 29-year-old has slashed .261/.280/.324 with 29 RBI across 246 plate appearances between the Rays and Nationals this season, though he'll likely need to turn in some positive results at Triple-A Gwinnett before he gets another shot in the majors.
