Braves' Jair Camargo: Scrubbed from 40-man roster

Atlanta designated Camargo for assignment Monday.

He'll give up his spot on the 40-man roster to Jose Azocar, who was called up from Triple-A Gwinnett to provide outfield depth after Eli White (personal) was placed on the paternity leave list. The 27-year-old Camargo saw action in one game with Atlanta earlier in the season but has otherwise spent the entire campaign at Gwinnett, slashing .216/.254/.305 with two home runs and four steals over 178 plate appearances.
