Atlanta designated Arcia for assignment Friday.
The 30-year-old was Atlanta's Opening Day shortstop but quickly lost out on playing time to Nick Allen and has just 32 plate appearances this year. Arcia was an All-Star in 2023 but took a major step back last season with a .218/.271/.354 slash line in 157 regular-season games.
